Annual Hamilton Marsh Tour!

Visit this spectacular wetland just 5 minutes from Qualicum Beach!

Since 2005 we have hosted annual tours during the Brant Wildlife Festival.  This year’s tour is outside of the official dates but a grand event all the same! Enjoy guided tours down the trails to Hamilton Marsh and learn about the flora and fauna.  At the dock look for birds through scope or binocular and even more fascinating discover and identify the bugs and pond creatures, the foundation of our web of life.

It’s a wonderful outing for young and old alike. Wear your waterproof footwear just in case, dress in layers, and please leave fido at the trailhead where we’ll babysit.  It is nesting season after all.

Admission by donation.  Pre-register if you can but drop-ins are always welcome.

Special thanks to Mosaic Forest Management for permission to host our tour (and the port-o-pottie they provide.)

We could not do this without the hardworking folks from the Arrowsmith Naturalists, plus a host of other valued partners including: Friends of French Creek Conservation Society, Ducks Unlimited Canada – Oceanside Chapter, Arrowsmith Independent School, Mount Arrowsmith Biosphere, Mount Arrowsmith Biosphere Research Institute, NALT (Nanaimo Area Land Trust) and more!

Please note: Highway 4 on this map is still Memorial Ave coming out of Qualicum Beach.
