SUMMARY:MABR BioBlitz at Milner Gardens and Woodland
DESCRIPTION:The annual MABR BioBlitz is coming back to Milner Gardens & Woodland in Qualicum Beach! This event is intended for beginner BioBlitzers who wish to learn how to identify plant, animal, and insect species alongside local knowledge holders with expertise in various fields of natural science.\nThe event will feature educational displays, opportunities to learn about local stewardship initiatives, light refreshments, and several draw prizes! Registration is free and all are welcome to attend.\nPlease bring weather appropriate clothing and footwear. You will be outside for the duration of the event (rain or shine) walking though vegetated and potentially muddy areas while identifying species. We highly recommend dressing in layers and bringing rain pants, a raincoat, and waterproof footwear with good ankle support. Some refreshments and light snacks will be provided but you are encouraged to pack a water bottle and food with you as well.\n\n
